Rubberized or Epoxy undercarriage roll on for salt water trailer?

I would pick something that can be easily patch repaired . I have no idea whats on my boat trailer but it has stayed clean looking . Only thing I have done is cleaning and regreasing the spring mounts/ slipper pads and refilled the bearing buddies . Ha ! probly hideously rusted inside ..

    Going straight at low speed?

I spose its pertinent to mention free play / backlash in the steering system , coz any of that will certainly make things worse . Also there may be some gain by adjusting the trim tab/ anode above and behind the prop . Its my understanding that this cant really be adjusted to suit all speeds...

    Going straight at low speed?

    prov 150 carb question

Any of the ways mentioned above will do fine . They are not under any stress. When I said about wanting to look at the balls re the poor idle I meant thats where I would look to fix the idle as someone has done , not that I suspect that the sealed in balls are causing an issue now . Sorry...

    prov 150 carb question

Different takes . I usually get a fn small drill , like .75-1.5mm depending on size of your balls (literally ) and drill into the ball about 1/2 way thru then put the shank of the drill in the hole and lever ball out . Do what you have to and then refit the ball hole facing out , maybe...

    Going straight at low speed?

That depends on so many things . How much weight on board ? how is it distributed ? Whats the water like ? . Basically you need to experiment to find the best setting at the time . Sometimes the only solution is to re distribute weight . Smaller boats can be sensitive to weight distribution...

    M40C Tachometer install weird readings

Not necessarily , MY Tohatsu M18d is a fine example Two cylinder 2 / one coil , two plug leads , fires both pots every 180deg , one pot at tdc and the other at bdc .... ergo .... wasted spark ...........so there:p:LOL:

    prov 150 carb question

Those balls are there to seal off the ends of internal passages. The fact that they are sealed suggests that some previous person has removed the balls/plugs to gain access to the passages for cleaning . That they have sealant on them is not a worry but if I had coughing at idle issues thats...

    Acceleration problems

Cant make up my mind wether Id go for a set of plugs if you havnt already , but my gut feeling is that ( at least ) one of the carbs needs a good clean. I take my boat down to the river and back it in until motor is in deep enough to run and then use the river like a dyno so I can run it at...

3 cylinder 35 hp water holes sealant?

Those holes need a good clean. As far as sealant is concerned there are a lot of quality products out there , just pick either your favourite or well known brand and go for it , just make sure you get the right type . Permetex is one I use , and Three bond

    Testing thermostat with torch

Um , looks sorta melted aye ;) . I would replace it not only because the threads look melted and it might develop a leak or pop right out but also because getting that hot may affect its reliable operation .

    Testing thermostat with torch

Hard to see in the pix ..... any chance that the head has been removed before you got the motor , looks like someone has applied some sealer to the head gasket and those " o rings " are sealant that got squeezed out when the head was torqued and set hard . I used compressed air to suss out...
