1984 force 125 Leaking tilt and trim?

Yes, that fitting is a little hard to get to......sure don't want to round it off. I use a flare nut wrench on all those hydraulic fittings. Slide it onto the line and slide it up as far as you can.

1998 Force 120 Stalls out in Low Gear

That tester is about the same as the one I showed. The plug pliers would be a good idea.....keep you from shocking the #$%& out of you. The impeller is the heart of the water pump, if the housing looks in good shape(no pitting or deep gouges) it can be reused. If in doubt I would replace...

Can I use any 2 stroke oil?

Nice copy/paste job on some random article you found on the internet.....adding the "JUST MY OPINION" at the end was a nice touch though, I have to admit.....the reality is you just can't believe everything you read on the internet. (y)

Can I use any 2 stroke oil?

Two stroke oil is NOT two stroke oil..........Need to use TC-W3 rated 2-cycle oil in your 2-stroke outboard motor.....Weed eaters, chain saws, etc. use non TC-W3 rated oil, as they are air cooled and run at higher temps than your water cooled outboard.....(y)

    Bad trigger? Can’t adjust timing

Think he is referring to the stator.....a magneto produces current for the spark, like a lawn mower engine. And I think he is saying he disconnected the stator charging wires going to the rectifier, for some reason.....

1984 force 125 Leaking tilt and trim?

If you got that one on ebay it could be a China clone, a lot of them are bad right out of the box. Keep that in mind when doing the tests....

https://forums.iboats.com/threads/88-force-85hp-trim-drop-help.620988/ This link is from the stickies at the top of this forum......it shows how to test the different components and isolate them to see where the problem is. Lots of good info in there. Most of the time the leakdown is caused...

1990 Force 120HP #2 Cyl zero compression and upon opening piston shows damage

Looking at your pic with the motor in the bucket.....water needs to be well above the cavitation plate (4-6 inches) for the pump to work right. That could be the problem with that one. The other one, maybe the muffs not sealing good?
