    1989 Evinrude 50hp

Is it coming out the telltale? Overheating? Then no, it will work. It's just not mating up nicely anymore. A little tiny bit of flat filling will probably cure it.

Or a uneducated/obtuse mechanic that will soon be with less "beer tokens" if it's okay to steal someone else's jingle.

I believe it's okay to use a rattle gun to remove the nut but reinstalling that is one of the nuts that I always use a torque wrench on. My fingers hand and wrist all work with many many bolts just fine but any major nut or bolt that should be torqued by torque. And the main reason why is...

Not sure why everyone is working so hard. Strap and torque wrench. Easy and cheap.

    Ignition issues

Volt meter will make it easy. Does the motor crank if you bypass everything? Starter turn? You need to be more clear about product and what you've done....to many answers to even discuss.

Picture of fuel lines/Primer Bulb lines for J25RLEDA

I love, how in the end of the video, he pulls the plug wire off with his hand and everything seems to be fine. Then there's like a break in the video as you can see, and now he's got a pair of pliers grabbing the lower plug wire. I wonder what happened prior to that? 🤣🤣🤣

You know compression test on a 2 stroke motor isn't always a good test of the outboard. It tells you how much it's been ran but not the only story. Leak down test might be in order. I've had two outboards in my life that I couldn't fix that had good compression. One I took to the omc dealer...

1976 135HP Evinrude No gas going to spark plugs/cylinder

Well there you have it.....two Supreme Mariners and one Lieutenant Commander. If you can't figure it out with all that experience and info, I'm not sure what else can be said. Are you an outboard flipper?

    90 hp carb over filling

Well, I'd move the batteries forward and vent them. I cut the fiberglass with my electric water diamond blade hooked up to a shop vac....an old Milwaukee to be exact. I put on a light dusk mask on, and threw it away, didn't need anything. All these tools I got for free. Baby boomers are...

    90 hp carb over filling

One way vent is tough. Maybe get a charcoal canister and rig up a evap system. Couldn't be that hard. I'm doing it to my 1974 Grummen and step van as we speak. I had a 19 ft campion cc and I cut the tank out. Cut the floor out with a skill saw, replaced the tank and put in a stainless steel...

I assumed with a 90hp you have an onboard fuel tank. Are you using portables?

Make sure you "true" the head. Sandpaper on a super flat surface in a figure 8 pattern. Remember their aluminum.

Sounds like your gas tank vent is plugged. Does your boat have a second vent? You purchased new plastic bowls, correct? I buy new ones and have no problems.

1976 135HP Evinrude No gas going to spark plugs/cylinder

"Fuel is not reaching the actual combustion chamber" I'm going with this. You changed the gas lines....fuel is non-ethanol? Octane? Did you try pumping the primer ball while starting it. I'd eliminate any fuel issues if the information provided is true. Cheers.

One other way to look at it. Did you look at the torque specs for the screws that go in the plastic bowl? You might find.... that you're over torquing them. Cheap to try....
