    Rkl-29e wont go forward

So in one test the problem moved, in the second test the problem, is where it originally was. Do you have a Volt Meter, or Test Light?

Easier time putting on the trailer

Weight of the Boat is spread over a larger Area. Not really issue if there are many rollers, but in most cases there aren't enough in my opinion. Cost is another factor, a couple of Slats of Wood and Carpet are a lot cheaper than all the Hardware needed for Rollers. Boats tend to sit lower on...

    Tune Up Specs 1973 Johnson 50HP 50ESL73R

Might be a Fuel Delivery Issue, as dirt/gum in the carbs. Have you checked the entire Fuel System for air leaks, plugged Pickup in the tank? Without having the unit in from of me/others on here, you have to be our Eyes and Ears. Pull the cowl, and verify that the Spark is advancing and that the...

Help with 1978 Johnson 85 HP

So about the only thing you haven't changed is the Timer Base and Sensor(under the Flywheel)? Examine all the low voltage wires going to the Coil, for grounds and opens, the last being a bit more difficult

Easier time putting on the trailer

Personally I prefer Roller Trailers, with Lots of Rollers, over Bunks any day. With my old Roller EZLoader, if the boat could be floated to the Trailer, the Tires of the Trailer barely need to be in the water, and the boat could be winched on.

Easier time putting on the trailer

Before I launch at an unfamiliar Ramp, or one I haven't used in a while, I will watch a few others launch, just to see if any Gremlins are lurking. If there is a Drop off, I will then decide if I will take a Chance of not backing in too deep, usually not, as it is a real pain to get the Trailer...

Help Me Identify Old Super Sea Horse

If you get some Paint remover, and apply it to the area shown in the 2nd Picture, it should reveal the Model Number. I would say it was a Rope Start model converted to Electric Start, as it doesn't have the Hot Air Automatic Choke Provisions on the Exhaust Cover

Easier time putting on the trailer

If the concrete extends far enough, no problem, but if it a mud bottom it can cause some problem, but then again some people just plain back in too far, and if they didn't there wouldn't be a problem... I have seen Morons back in so far that the Winch handle is have under water, and of course...

1974 Johnson Sea Horse 65 hp 'OB

There was no 65hp in 74. In 74 the 3 cylinder became a 70hp. 1972 and 73 were the years of the 65, and there were major differences between the 2 yrs. Mainly the Shifting, 72 would be a Hydro-Electric, while the 73 a Hydro-Mechanical

Had a couple of these in the late 70s 76 Olds Delta 88 Royale One was a 4dr Sedan, the other a 4dr Hardtop. Both had 7.4 liter(455) engines They make the Roadmasters, and that 95 Caddy look small. The Wheelbase on these Olds is 124 inches, the Caddy is 121.5

Opinions on Volvo Penta engines and drives

Have had a VP for over 20 yrs, has been reliable. Uses Cone Clutches instead of Wear Prone Clutch Dogs. Cooling System, much less Complicated than MC. Raw Water Pump is inside the Boat, no need to take the outdrive apart to change the Impeller

    Problems with oversized boat motor

60" wide, a 62 40hp Johnson isn't all that heavy, unlike the current 4 Stroke Anchors. It should be fine

    Getting shocked while changing battery?!?

Perspiration, being loaded with Body Salts is an Excellent Electrolyte Lithium Ion? If so, I don't think they are a very good idea on a Boat. They are not allowed to be in Checked Luggage on an Airplane, or be shipped Air Freight, because they are as Stable as a Can of Hot Nitroglycerin, They...
