What's the max HP rating for the boat? You may be under powered too.

Getting there. Only one gauge still in the mail. Gonna have to get my buddy to get the steering wheel off for me next.

Stay safe out there. Overheating can sneak up on you.

The trim gauge arrived this afternoon. Naturally, I had to go mock it into place for a looksee. I tried it in the innermost hole, but I couldn't see the gauge because of the steering wheel. Moved it to the center and that was perfect. I'll put the fuel gauge in the innermost location...

And this morning I put on the final coats of paint, replaced the hardware and mocked everything into place. I chose this blue because it's a pretty good complement to the other blues in the boat. And I chose satin instead of gloss because I didn't want the parts to look all "plasticky."...

7-6-25 I sanded the glove box panel down and got all the uglies off of it. Then I sprayed on the first coat of Krylon Fusion satin blue and hung it out to dry. Nothing like sitting and watching paint dry. The first coat went on fine.

    1997 Mirrocraft 18' aluminum fish n ski

Been pretty busy lately. Health and weather problems slowed me down a bit too. As usual. After several weeks and many, many hours of research, I finally ordered all new gauges. I settled on Faria-Beede; their Platinum Series. They start arriving today and will continue for the...

    Gauges recommendation

Well, earlier this afternoon I pulled the trigger on the new gauges. They'll start coming in next week. Gives me time to do a bit of cleanup. Yes, compatibility is an issue. Connecting a digital gauge to an analog source won't work if it's looking for ones and zeroes instead of an analog...

    Gauges recommendation

I'm literally in the same boat, so to speak. :sneaky: I have the new gauges in my purchase cart right now, ready to pull the trigger. More expensive than I wanted to buy, but this will be my final boat ever, so that's my justification (rationalization?) I'm looking at $500+ for the...

Hysterical! A buddy told me about this yesterday but he didn't like it. Having seen it this morning, I'm thinking that he didn't watch it all the way through. Harmless fun stuff! 🤪

    Fish finders

I'm an old guy and primarily a bass fisherman. Been a lifetime member of B.A.S.S. for 40+ years. But, I only fish for recreation. I have a simple Garmin to tell me depth, GPS speed and water temperature. The forward facing sonar (FFS) units are way out of my budget. Those things can cost as...

Last night when we went to bed, my wife once again said it was hot. I replied that she adjust her meds so that she's no longer hot or that it makes her shut up! LMAO! :ROFLMAO:
