    2005 Yamaha F115 command link/nmea2000 compatibility

The year of boat doesn't determine compatible... the build of ECM does that. Looks like you ECM has been update for Command Link. Do you have Command link gauges? That doesn't look like the usual NMEA 2000 connector

    Boat buckle tie down location

The strap isn't but 1/8" thick at best. No reason you couldn't put the strap on then lay and secure the bimini on top of it

Just a reminder that summer will be here soon...

Spring is here…daffodils and forsythia in bloom and the silver maples have budded. Fields and yard greening up nicely. Walked the back fields with the dog yesterday. Kicked up a flock of 5 toms. Had never encountered a white (smoke) turkey before.

2000 Yamaha F100 four stroke oil alarm goes off at first and then goes away

You can try a new switch, but I don’t think that’s your problem seeing your testing showed it's operational. As a final test, I’d put a meter on the switch during operation to see if the signal is dropping out on you. Pressure switches are typically pretty robust. Still think you have a...

    Boat buckle tie down location

Blew out a strap positioned similarly. Ended up using a clevis thru the frame hooks and a gunnel strap over the top.

    Sealer for pontoon.

I agree with everything said, but let’s not conflate the causes. While the most common cause of corrosion in lower drive units, stray current is not the cause, it’s the facilitator. Galvanic corrosion requires dissimilar metals in contact or very close proximity to each other. In this scenrio...

    Sealer for pontoon.

Pitting corrosion is almost always atmospheric related pH below 4 or above 9 Stagnate water (low O2) will do it every time Salt is deadly to aluminum as the pitting of my hardtop demonstrates

    Sealer for pontoon.

Depends on the extent of the “pitting”. If it’s light surface pitting you can just sand it down to clean metal with bronze wool and apply a “aluminum” sealer to minimize the rate of oxidation going forward. I used the Woody Wax Tower Treatment system few years back to restore the supports of...

Slow start?? New battery, cables, starter, solenoid

Remove the starter from the motor and bench test with a fresh battery. If its still doesn't "jump" to life you have a bad starter.

    Power trim fluid / refill

Hydraulic and ATF oils are basically one and the same. The difference is in the formulation of the additive packages and the dye used to color the product. While any good quality hydraulic/ATF oil will work as long as a specific formulation is specified. I use IH Hy-tran hydraulic oil mine...

If you melted the gauge and the switch, there is a good chance are you damaged the sending unit in the process.

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Understand…just making the point that ABYC wire colors are only recommendations as well. They are not cast in stone nor should be treated as such. #1 rule in electronics….don't assume anything Had a guy smoke a $20k circuit board last week because he believed the drawing over what he saw with...

Did the factory connect my fuel system wrong, please help!

The only problem I see is that they used hose clamps instead of the loop type clamps in the diagram. Personally, I would use Oetiker clamps Guessing the “damper” (plug) is only used to keep fluids from leaking during shipment

2020 Mercury 150 4 Stk/Steering Feels Stiff. Where Are the Grease Point Located?

Nope, that's it. If pumping new grease in doesn't clear the old grease and restore operation, you need to tear it down to clean *** out. FWIW.... picture appears to still have cable steering connected

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Don't disagree, but the ABYC "Standard" are recommendations at best. Builders are free to utilize their own color scheme if they choose to do so. Just making the point to never assume, always confirm. Industry standard color codes are at most suggestions... Case in Point....
