    It's time, advice...

As said don't try pulling on the rope to get up. Keep a steady hold, and only use you arms to absorb the the pull the boat is giving you.. Concentrate on keeping the skis straight and they will lift you right up. Since the boat driver is also a skier you are already ahead in the game as they...

Using two different rule of thumb calculations based on the dimensions you posted the max did come in around 75-80hp.

    USB charger

I would guess the internal workings are the same as the ones that plug into the lighter socket.

    Easiest to crank manual winch

The problem with a winch is when you get to the last few feet the drum diameter has increased so the mechanical advantage is less. Used to have a boat that the last 3 feet was a real PITA and thought of using an easy to clip on snatch block when it got that far. Twice the revolutions but half...

Help identifying older Sears and Roebock 3.5 hp outboard motor.

Here is the ID on mine T 634 10 5154021 or 515404 It is an air-cooled 3.5 hp The T634 is the ID of the tecumseh power head. There is a little "duck bill" rubber piece in the carb that is the fuel pump. They almost always need to be replaced if the motor hasn't been run in years.

Help identifying older Sears and Roebock 3.5 hp outboard motor.

I have a 3.5 from the mid 60's that also has that SR sticker on. That may help narrow it down. Made by Eska, powerhead is Tecumseh.

It has been a few years but I seem to remember pulling the tabs unlocks the hose connectors so they come out of the pump housing.

Looking for specific hardware (small drywall anchors)

I would use a 3/16" Cleco fastener to hold it together. If there is so much stress that the Cleco would not hold it down then there is too much to trust a pop rivet to properly work. https://www.amazon.com/16-Cleco-Fasteners-Pliers-K1S50-3/dp/B06WD3J75S

    New to iboats hello..

Pretty much so. Find an old factory service manual on the internet. Easy to work on and parts are available and not that expensive. A little thirsty on gas but if you life cycle the cost of a new one against it you will still be way ahead. Anyone with average mechanical skills can fix them...

    Acceptable trailering?

I wouldn't worry about the smaller receiver size as it sounds like you are only towing about 85% of the hitch rating. I don't know what the design safety factor for the hitch is but I would guess that you could put a lot whole more on that "skinny" looking receiver before it would fail.

15 Hp Johnson won't plane 12 foot boat.

I have a 12' Meyers aluminum boat that I normally use on electric only lakes. A couple of years ago the oldest boy got a 5hp Mercury and I bolted it on to try it. I found that a 5 gallon drywall bucket would fit between the front seat and bow and after some experimenting filling it half full...

    I can relate to this!

That was my Dad. He graduated first in the engineering department class in 1938. The only job he could find was as the tool room boy and tool grinder for a brass valve mfg company. Married and soon with me on the way things were tight but I never knew how tight until my mother passed about 9...

    I can relate to this!

That was my father. He sorted and labeled hundreds of jars, cans, and boxes of items. I found a box in the attic full of pieces of carpet padding labeled "pieces of carpet padding to small to save" We never threw anything away without first taking it apart and saving all the fasteners...

    Boat accident at dusk

A little different in the US. A state can have what is knows as primacy which means that they have a law that basically adapts 33CFR in its wording. Minor changes can be made usually if they are more strict than the federal law. This is done by exemption from preemption. Here is an example...
