If you have a roller trailer used in salt water....check this....

Roller trailers are few and far between south of the Mason Dixon. Have launched pretty much every major point of access between Rehoboth, DE to Morehead, NC over years. Not once have I had concerns about getting the boat on or off the trailer. It's not an issue. The concern is always the...

    Blue sea circuit breaker help

Be aware that the ACR only closes (combines batteries) when the primary battery voltage is above 13.5 volts. A compromised primary battery and or charging system will not charge the house bank. FWIW....your 12.4V is technically a dead battery

Battery operated small room A/C units , WORK ?

Swamp coolers raise the humidity 2% to 3% for every 1F degree drop in temperature. Not to mention the efficiency falls off a cliff with humidity above 50%. Works well in Palm Springs at 110F, 7% humidity but is useless in the temps and humidity of the East Coast, let alone Florida Current 7am...

Battery operated small room A/C units , WORK ?

Bo I hear you. Fished competitively for a number of years. Drive half the night, get a couple hours of sleep then lines in the water at 6 am. Ran a Suburban back in the day. Fold down the back seats and you had a nice queen size sleeping area. Have a F150 crew now with the fold up bench...

    Output voltage

You do realize the input (two posts) are AC and the output is DC? Outboards don't generate charge current below 1,500 rpm or so

Battery operated small room A/C units , WORK ?

Can't comment on the A/C part but have experience with attempting to sleep in a GW Walkaround. Tried it once and never again. Very cramped and no ventilation even with the windows open unless you leave the door cracked then the bugs eat you alive. Ended up sleeping in the truck to get away...

    Output voltage

I would bet an ice cream sandwich that your battery needs replaced. Batteries typically don't fair well after being run "low" What is battery voltage one hour after removing it from the charger? When was the last time the battery was load tested?

    Blue sea circuit breaker help

The short answer is just 1 battery in the "ON" position. The switch is designed to be used with two isolated battery banks with an ACR managing charge distribution from a common charge source while maintaining the isolation between banks. The switch does not share a common source unless put on...

Anyone familiar with Hynautics Hydraulic Steering?

Nothing special about any of the steering cylinders. Shaft seals and orings are commercially available. Just tear it down and source the components individually.

Proline 2002 23 WA Scuppers on deck are clogged

The nozzle of the hose fits perfectly in the thru hull on the outlet. A couple of blasts with full water pressure in the outlet followed with a couple of full pressure blasts in the drain typically opens the drain

    Fuel gauge

Senders utilize resistive loading. You need to measure the output in ohms.

If you have a roller trailer used in salt water....check this....

Our tides are in the 1 to 1.5' range. We are very fortunate in that we have a lot of well maintained boating infrastructure. This is three of ten double wide ramps at our local State Park The one thing I noticed is the boat sits about 12" lower and the trailer is about 2.5' longer. Based...

    Wiring a water temp gauge.

How do you know it over heated? If you got an alarm the "other" plug is the temp switch that triggered the alarm. With a temp switch already in place, I prefer a pressure gauge to alert me to the loss of water pressure prior to it over heating.

    Storing fishing poles in gunwale?

Depends on what rods you're storing. That setup works OK for holding #20-30 trolling rods but beats the heck out of the reels if stored without reel cases. The length and small diameter of spinners make it even tougher on rods in those holders Since you have a center console, I would use...

Tightening stripped screws in hatch lid hinge in fiberglass

Cutting threads in fiberglas is problematic due to its lack of deformation when worked. You get better results "molding" threads in place. To that end, the easiest way to repair a stripped thread in fiberglas is with Marine-Tex. Drill out holes using next size up drill bit to make good clean...

    How to decarb an outboard?

For years I used “Dunk’s” method and just poured a can of sea foam in a 1 gallon gas can. Pulled the fuel line off the fuel pump, attached a length of fuel line and drop the other end in the can of mix. Fired up motor and let it idle until the can was empty, shut off the motor and let it sit...

If you have a roller trailer used in salt water....check this....

My first boat came with a single axle trailer. Hated that thing with a passion. A balancing act if the trailer wasn’t hitched to the truck. Done with roller trailers in general. Getting too old to walk the tongue to hook up the winch. Went with the Loadrite aluminum I-beam bunk this time...
