    Gelcoat finish restoration

Just got the mechanical side of the boat ready for the water but noticed that some of the finish is dull and has a whitish residue that will not wax out. I think I read somewhere that you can use either scotchbrite or comet ?? to bring back the colour and then a good couple of coats of wax to...

These boats were great. I would buy one for us to use if I could find one. Used as water taxi's taking folk to the bigger boats for trips etc. Used for the bananna boat and water ski-ing, pleasure trips down the coast etc. Very versatile boats. Take 13 to 16 people (full load depending on inside...

    Dominican Boat Pics.

Saw these in the Dominican Republic recently. Fun little things. Handled like a hovercraft, easy to slide sideways. Not overly fast in a straight line, instant hole shot though. Fun to try once but I sure would not buy one. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l220/kenmyfam/DSC00185.jpg...

    Still Laughing at this one

SAD NEWS With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic...

    1985 Johnson 140hp VRO system

I have the above outboard and it is currently running just fine. Many people have advised me to get rid of the VRO system and to run it on a fuel / oil mix in the tank. What are everyones thoughts on this ? and if it is a "get rid of the VRO" then what is the best way to go about it ? Thank You...

    Winterising.

Well its approaching the time of year when I have to come out of the dock and prepare the boat for its winter hibernation. Trouble is, this is the first time that I have to winterise in a very sub Zero country. I have heard snippets about "fogging" the motor", "changing the lower oil" and a...
