Drove around the backside of the big blue store today ... They had lumber stacked to the roof all the way around the building .. Inside the racks were pretty much filled .. Walked out with 4 sheets of 1/2" 4 ply sheathing and 300 bucks lighter in my back pocket ..This is ridiculous .....

Looking at this axle I was gunna use from another trailer . Everything is the same except the drilled spring mount holes . Can I just drill the holes in the correct spot for the gator trailer ? Would it hurt anything to leave the old hole there ? Fill it with a weld ? Then re-drill ?
Last bit of progress. That was kinda scary .. I used the 6013 rods with the setting on around 90 amps ..

The mid rail on yours has 3 rivets on the very end and it’s shaped a bit different . Other than that it’s pretty close .. For now it’s a Sammycraft I guess LOL !

Everyone seems to say they are easier to weld with . I still want to get halfway decent at stick welding ..Quite gubbery but I don’t think the coupler is going anywhere .

Doing my best to weld all the parts and pieces on to the new steel tube . I don’t have a son in law that welds anymore so It’s my time to learn . Not the prettiest but strong I think .. I need to decide how I should fasten the coupler to the tube . Just bolt it or weld...
