    "dependable", what does it mean? I have been stranded with 2 strokes many times. That's why I carry a kicker. Never been stranded with a 4-stroke. After a long cold winter, my 4-strokes start up in a fraction of a second. No need to decarbon the cylinders, no points to adjust, etc, etc...

    Nine month old un-stabilized gas is a problem? Rebuild carbs? I rebuild carbs every 20 years or so. "Old" gas is after several years. Top off the tank and go boating. Don't worry, be happy.
