    If you answered my question I could explain the science. If you have side viewing you have sonar beams coming off the bottom and both sides of the transducer. Where the transducer is oriented relative to the motor(s) must be taken into consideration to work properly.

    No.... A good, high quality filter will have very little pressure drop to begin with. The filters I use (racor) have a 0.2 psi pressure drop pushing 30 GPH. Goes up to 0.3 psi at 60 gph. At the rate your 25 hp burns fuel the pressure drop will be next to nothing Not sure about a 25 HP, but...
