    Seawater Pickup

Transom pickups sux. Priming issues…. I have scoop type, thru hull pickups on my bait and washdown pumps. No problems priming. Have water flow thru bait well w/o pump running if anchored (tidal flow) It’s your boat, but anything below the water should have a seacock just in case...

    8'6" Beam

8’-6” is a restriction imposed by road use. No demand for a 28-30’ “trailer” boat except for the go fast crowd

    Affordable canvas options?

I'm guessing the difference is that Ameritex has/had an existing pattern to work from. Everyone else would have to custom fit which is labor intensive. $6K is a little steep but given the state of the current job market.....I'm not that all surprised. Horses, yachting and race cars have never...

    Yamaha corroded ground wire.

Amongst other things..... Lucky you didn't take out the charging system in the process. Steel connectors will suffice for automotive applications but a no-no for marine applications. Guessing the cable isn't "Tinned" as well. Better off to replace the cable with a Marine grade cable

Everything from exotic beachs of the South China Sea and Indian Ocean to the plywood and tin shanty towns of Brazil and Venezuela...

    Aerator Pump

Does the fuse show continuity? If not, it’s blown and needs replaced. Connecting a battery to an otherwise ”live” circuit causes an inrush of current (the sparks) which blew the fuse

    Battery Switch Bypass Question

I run the E-series on my boat. Never had any problems. Just wire direct to the battery. Easiest method is to move (combine) the cable on the “battery” terminal on switch over/with to “starter” terminal to by-pass the switch. Quick and easy
