Water Tube Removal Question about Flanged End

"Normal" for a salt water motor, but certainly not like "new".

    Envinrude 4425

Try this re-scan. Believe it or not, a competing parts place which I cannot mention here has the 551686 link in stock. Call iboats' OEM parts dept and see if they can help you on this.

    Envinrude 4425

A similar knob but for a different model motor. This one does not have the choke tang on the backside.

    Envinrude 4425

This is the best picture I have, but is not very easy to make out when enlarged any more. If it isn't clear enough let me know and I'll doctor it up a bit. Anyhoo, the choke link is held in position at the bottom end by a guide. A tang on the backside of the knob (not shown) engages the link...

Yep, that one (-S) has the bad seal

    1986 Johnson 30 water pump

The front stud might be broken off. It looks like it might not be being made any more ("discontinued"), but I say it needs one. What's going to happen without it when you hit an underwater stump or rock at 30 MPH? I guess you can paddle back and retrieve the lower unit from the deep.

    Omc powerhead interchange/swap

And how old are these motors? They've only been making 35 & 40hp motors for about 60 years.

    69 Johnson 25

It is either a slipping prop hub or it is cavitating. It is easy to tell if it is the prop hub. Make a mark on the prop nut (or easier yet use the cotter pin as a pointer). Make a second mark in the propeller, aligned with the first mark (or cotter pin). Run the motor till suspected slippage...

    1977 Johnson 85hp 85EL77S Fuel pump

There seems to be a difference in the pulse hose / location. The ones you show have three hoses, Plus the smaller one also has a back feed which probably is blocked off in your situation (??) 1978 parts book shows only two-hoses plus the back feed.

I dunno, there seems to be confusion among 1977 models.

De rigging a 1966 Super Seahorse Deluxe 40hp?

If we can believe it is in as-built/original, the main motor cable runs into the junction box, where it is disconnected by two wing nuts and a couple of plastic plugs. Yes, if you are asking about the dash cable, that came all pre-assembled to the box. Just remove the box from the boat and...

    Foam in carburetor

Similar to refrigeration systems. Carburetors get cold due to expansion. The water condenses from the air. That's why I asked about the temperature. In a prior life, (in the Army) I had to keep a generator running in cold weather. That sucker would ice up and quit if I couldn't figure out a...

    Foam in carburetor

Exactly where are you seeing this foam? In the float bowl? In the carb throat? Hard to imagine it right now, but is the weather cold? Humid? Location?

40 hp parts work in a 35 hp motor 1979

Is the 40 a commercial model? If it is, I don't have any info on it, but my gut feeling is it is a totally different motor.

1967 evinrude 80 hp need help.

You are supposed to use a special tool to remove the bearing. That damages the bearing and it must be replaced. Trade secret, no special tool? Chuck the housing in a lathe and bore it out enough to push the seal and bearing out. Or, if it ain't leaking, leave well enough alone.
