    Lovely but What?

The ignition switch OEM is over $100 They used 2, one is the long barrel, the other is the short. A better pic will help. Sometimes the starter will have the part numer on it and doing some research you can figure out the rest of the info you need. Bayliner is still selling/making boats. If...

    Adding Tilt/Trim system 89 bayliner

The harness and relays is so the electric motor doesn't get the wires too hot. And yes hook the leads to the battery and see if it works?? 99% of the time T@T failure is due to the bad connection on the relays. Take them apart and clean the contacts making sure they make good contact. A simple...

    Stuck check valve…

The best bet is upgrade to a newer pump. The older pump/valves were pressed in. They hardly ever went bad. One time in 40 years did I see a valve go bad. It fell apart but still worked.

    Lovely but What?

That boat , worked on hundreds of them, is a Bayliner and that model was made in a factory in Washington state. The paint job on the motor and hull shows it's a 1987, the hull ID # probably shows it too. The motor should have a sticker on the transom clamp that has the model and serial number...

    Here's one for the books!!

2014 Yam115 4stroke. The aftermarket Sierra developed a pin hole leak and saturated the lower half of the motor, including the starter. Went to change the filter and clean the oil. Took the starter and all the electrical connections apart and reassembled everything. Went to start it and huge...

    Force 70 hp questions.

Force didn't always have a freeze plug. Look on the starter for the year? if it hasn't been changed it should be on there. ALso there might be a foundry stamp under the pack/coil assy. and under the bottom carb. Round circle with the year in the center. The T@T wires were/are solid blue(up) and...

Thanks Topgun. There you go, problem solved. One hint be EXTREMELY careful when taking the valves apart, I've never found anyplace that sells any of the parts except the seal.

1990 force 90 hp trim pump kit?

I thought someone had put a link to the repair kit that fixes the shuttle valve. ANYONE know the part # or where to buy the tiny little seals? I know Granger sells them. If you can't get them I might have a couple in my spare parts bin.

1990 force 90 hp trim pump kit?

The FIRST thing: there is NOTHING inside the pump that you can fix "nothing" the thing that goes bad in those pumps is the seals in the very bottom. You happen to read the 2nd through the 5th posts in this forum? They're the best reading here in the Force Forum. They contain lots of tip and...

    '88 Force 15 "Where's the thermostat?"

No thermo on the 88/15. The parts diagrams might show it has a place for it but I've never seen one in there.
