No power to new Kenwood stereo reciever

So for what it's worth I tied power and memory together and didnt care about presets. Batteries are shut off unless I am in boat. I never loose presets or bluetooth settings for connecting for my phone. On my unit I think it just powers the clock?????. Didnt care, never checked

    Plastic under gas tank

Here is the kinda bad news. If the bag is wet its holding water against the aluminum tank. That will cause pitting and eventually start leaking gas

That's why I did it the way I did. I have ZERO holes into my deck. I glued attachment points for everything on top of deck. 2x4's glassed in to screw into

    Captain's Chair Pedestal and Carpet

So I did similar for my pedestal. 3/4 piece of plywood. Fairly wide. I drilled holes for stainless t nuts. Then small piece of foil tape over base of each t nut to keep resin out. Then I glued wood to deck with PB resin. Then I cut some bolts with some shank to them so there was just enough...

Concerned about Hull Config / Cramped Engine Bay

I have a 2013 caddy cts and with a little finesse and ingenuity I have figured out how to do a headlamp in less than 15 min. Probably same with most of the maintenance on that motor.

OMC gear case oil filler fitting for pressure/vacuum testing

If I remember right the holes are either 5/16 or 3/8 coarse thread. I took a bolt that had some shank on it, drilled a hole down the center, put a nut on it tight to the shank, ground off the flats on the nut....i think, cut the head off, then I used an extra nylon washer to seal. Attach rubber...

    Electrical re-wire

Also see if you can turn crank with a wrench/socket. I would do that first. At least 1/4 turn so you know it ain't froze up. If po got water in motor and let it rust it will do same thing. Then check battery/starter connections are clean and tight. Then jump solenoid.

    Electrical question

If you wire radio polarity backwards you have made a paperweight. Test polarity with a meter. Then check load carrying capacity with a big INCANDESCENT light like a fog light or something. 12v @ .5ma will show 12v on meter but not power anything bigger than a small led test light

I was lucky with my cuddy that I was able to make a pvc frame to cover the back half and threw an old billboard sign tarp over it.

    Pedestal Seat Base

I didnt want any holes at all in my deck so this is what I did. I cut a 3/4 piece of plywood as big as would fit in my helmet. Drilled holes for pedestal and inserted stainless t nuts. I did use a router to carve a pocket so the nuts sat flush. I then used a bit of foil tape over the back side...
