    Starting to feel like August

the hunga tonga eruption has injected massive amounts of moisture into the atmosphere...unprecedented, but natural. more people die from cold than heat. Sweating is healthy for the body. summer...bring it on.

    is it normal for:

the amp draw to be significant enough to draw down the voltage as seen on my volt meter when using the trim on my motor? The voltage drop is about 2+ volts. This is on a 2021 merc. 110 hp while underway. It did the same thing on the original 60 hp merc. The wiring is as factory from '06. If not...

    Need Advice

as a weak comparison. I have a 24', twin 25" dia. toons, 115hp pontoon that gets 26+/- mph @ WOT, 58-6000 rpm based on early cool spring day. Yep, colder air and water increases performance. These are props that I've run/tried. All give the same #'s.

    Can You Wear This Shirt

We mainly used and needed it for the FAA exams and flight planning as new pilots getting a Private and the instrument and commercial ratings. And this was in the 70's. As you advanced into an ATP rating and as an airline pilot, it was hardly used, if at all. Advancements in computers, and the...

    Need Advice

If you want advice from a pontoon owner who has re-powered and operated a pontoon since 2017, here's this: FYI, FWIW: It's impossible to tell if a motor is too high or low just based on what you posted. What you posted tells me you are over-propped and lugging your motor. I do not prop my...

    Vinyl seat repair

it was a full Sunbrella boat cover by Dowco that burned the tops of my seats.....and the OP's. That's the catch 22 with SOME pontoons. That's the tan cover on the floor. hope the new white one works.

    Gauges don't work

and I didn't have busses. It's an '06. One reason why I re-did my rat's nest from the factory. You may not have busses either. I added them.

    Vinyl seat repair

Best way?....new seats or re-upholster. You can see similar damage I had in the pic. I went as long as I could. You can possible stretch a few years using a majic eraser, and vinyl cleaners. I also used a small sponge with some clorox in it on just those areas. It helped but eventually it hits a...

    Gauges don't work

My '06 pontoon did not have daisy chained gauges or accessories. I rewired mine and did daisy chain all switches. The gauges have individual purple wire supply. I can pull my panel off as there is/was slack enough, so don't assume there isn't. The purple wire from the ignition supplies power to...

Good enough RPM or not (92' Yamaha 130 v4 2 stroke)

you mentioned engine health so I'd say you're where you need to be. Previously I'd say you were lugging the motor when getting to your top rpm. I propped my pontoon for a little over my rpm limit with just me on board, like others on here, so I could pull kids on tubes. I also lost some top...

    Gauges don't work

there should be a purple colored wire running to those gauges that supply power from the ignition switch normally. I'm assuming yamaha follows marine wiring color schemes. So if you pull the panel, check for voltage at that wire when turning the ignition switch on. If no power, then work backwards.
