    ^^^ Smaller outboard boats may not have a bilge blower, but should still have venting for the gas tank.

    The SeaRay is worth lookin' at. Condition is the key. You will also want to carefully consider the boat's condition. And make sure you base your decisions on used boat buying mostly on the boat's condition. ;) Have you read through THIS information?

    I mostly agree with JB, but will say that I've taken a chance with old / vintage / obsolete boats in the past and it's worked out. You'll have trouble with some parts already being listed as no longer available. Over time, that will just increase. If you like the boat, it's in really good shape...

    Can you tell where the water was coming from? If you have more ports below the waterline, then maybe one of those is letting water in. After that, you kinda' have to get your head in there and see where the water is coming from. Sorry you're having the troubles, but welcome aboard.

    Not really unusual for trailer boats from the 60's through the 80's to not have much information. A lot of builders appeared and disappeared quickly. A quick internet search suggests that Bayliner bought up Newman boats out of Florida. A check with Bayliner might give you some information...
