    Following this thread. question though, why are you wanting to swap from a 21p to a 17p prop, we’re you not making the proper wot rpm? That’s going to be a huge rpm jump. In my uneducated opinion, just running mercruiser products would be best. That seems to have worked so far.

    If in remove all 5 drain plugs, let the water drain then put the plugs back in, and start the engine with muffs attached to a 5 gallon bucket of antifreeze while fogging the motor will that get the water out of the engine and fog the engine at the same time?

    I’m in the market for a boat and found A 2015 with a 377 mag That has 95 hours. Are there any major issues with this engine? I had a 5.0mpi for 12 years that had little to no issues, so I’m not new to boats or mercurisers, just this engine.

    Probably a basic question but I’m wondering about the thermostat on my 5.0mpi. According to my gauge it opens somewhere around 170ish maybe 180, when it finally opens does it stay open all the time while running or will it open and close?
