    My guess is it wasn't winterized at all, cracks in the top of the block to me means it was full of water, I bet you find more cracks.in the valley as well...

    Chamfer the hole a bit inside and out, fill with epoxy filler and fair when dry. Then scuff up the inside a bit and epoxy your mounting block.

    just start cleaning the connections, I have a 95 SR and I found the buss bar terminals for ground wires needed it badly..It's a good pastime when you feel like tinkering...

    Looks like the flange on the pan is bent now. You cannot over lap a gasket and expect it to seal. Trim the cork to fit and use a sealant at the joint.

    I see what appears to be a partial bunk at the transom that should extend forward to support the hull. Take the boat off the trailer and you will see where the bunks should be.

    Thanks for the reply! That's my thoughts as well but as I plan on replacing the hose soon I was curious if it could be done with some clear from the steering cooler to the thermostat and used as a early warning.

    I've often seen recommendations for a section of clear hose installed at the thermostat for the water intake to diagnose overheating. Can you leave it in the system permanently and if you can, what type or brand?
