    1991 100 hp compression

    I'm looking at a used 1991 Merc 100 hp. It looks very good and appears to have very low hours on it. The compression in the cylinders from top to bottom is 126, 126, 125 and 125 psi. Does this sound right to you? Thanks.

    I'm having my 1990 Evinrude 90 hp rebuilt this coming winter. Does this motor have cylinder sleeves that can be replaced, or do the cylinders have to be re-bored and oversized pistons installed? Thanks.

    Motor turns when on transom saver

    I have a 1990 Evinrude 90 hp that wants to turn when it's resting on the motor support/transom saver. The result is the small rubber knobs the motor rests on are torn after only 2 short trips. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening? Thanks.

    90 hp starts hard when hot

    Hi....wondering if anyone can help. I have a 1990 90 hp Evinrude that runs fine except it starts hard after running and fully warmed-up. I have to raise the fast idle lever to get her going agian. Just had the head and exhaust cover gaskets replaced as water was getting into the cylinders. Thanks.
