82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

Last section of flooring in, fuel tank valve mounted. Side panels in with foam. Rod holders in. Forgot to thank @MNhunter1 for gifting me the rodholders me made but he did not use. So this boat has two panels under the splashwell, one each side. In the below pic i have put one close to...

82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

Been a crazy week. Family from Denmark and Tokyo flew in, three separate 'family' groups in from Mo, another from AL. 14 people first night, kicked one group of three out the second night. 32 people for the day on 4th. I slept almost an entire day afterwards. The two international families...

    Dopamine

While i do buy a lot of crap, I hugely enjoy the hunt of being cheap to the point where it can irritate my wife. Both boys were raised my Mrs redneck when she was going thru some troubled times and always knew that. Even after she and I got together and we're making obama rich money for...

Sounds like you are gtg. I am just about done with my aluminum restoration and I'm old, not trying to pick up any chicks, don't care what it looks like so didn't not work on the pretty but i know for sure it is way more solid now and will outlast me and then whichever boy gets it should be gtg...

    1979 80 hp Mercury

Yes, you are dirtying the lake. A two stroke needs (roughly) 50:1 mix to run at WOT. At idle about 100:1. So oil not burnt in the combustion process is coming out the exhaust.

    Lengthening a boat trailer

Why are you adding, how much are you adding, what is current rig, etc. Make sure you watch this and very much respect the physics behind it. https://forums.iboats.com/threads/weight-distribution-101.683625/

I would be think the already done below deck stuff would be sus. And unless the fiberglass is sanded and cleaned to perfection the flex seal will not adhere and if you think it needs it that would tend to tell me the previous work is even more sus. All that said, de capping is the best first...

I'll take exception to one line item cost that Scott laid out, age appropriate working outboards can be had for less that $2000 at least around here. I'm still able to get most parts for my 82 merc 50. Picked up an 87 merc 70 recently for $400 and while not had it running, compression is...

Yeah did about 10 days or so, really dehydration so been recovering from that for a bit. Lips still kinda 'thick'. Just need to jump I'm the pool more often. Had to backtrack a couple things, missed riveting the floor at the edges. Not to hard but any backward steps are still backward...

82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

Hit my 90 degree heat index by 0730 but I'm still going to plug along until I can't. Goal is steering cable back in, stern section of flooring riveted in, two tank fuel valve mounted and stern gunnel panels and foam back in. About halfway there but dam it's hot.
