    One manifold hot (5.0)

I'm dealing with much the same problem, I did cook the lower hose, the manifold is questionable but the elbow definitely scrap iron. I'm going to replace it with new hose and if it works I'll be lucky and when fall comes I will change all of the exhaust system. The other side can't be far behind..

    Should I buy-2002 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer

Your not gonna like how it handles with 3 or 4 inches of slop..Heed the above post from Scott, and will add that the tinny and an outboard motor may be the best choice for a last time buyer as well..

    Converting 260MIE RH to LH.

If you reverse polarity on the brushes or the field I would think it would work. The bendix would be another matter. I'm in way over my head but If these thoughts help you I'm good. Besides I'm curious and now I will get notifications..

Shifter is turning the upper shift shaft when put in forward or reverse.

It's the arm on the upper end of the shift shaft. It has a roller on it that engages with the cable connector. It can dis engage on it's own quite easily while installing the drive.

    Outdrive Popping

I guess that with a stout enough hoist you could yank the motor out with the drive still on but I would have bet my SS check against putting the motor back in. I'm learning every day..

port side exhaust elbow over heating.

Are you saying that the riser might have a few days left in it. I will poke around in it. Maybe a bit of muriatic might be a help.. I didn't see any indication of rust in the throat...

port side exhaust elbow over heating.

Well I guess I'm gonna get some new risers and hope for the best with the existing manifolds. I can't find a part number on the risers or the rubber bellows that was burnt. the upper bellows has a number on it and is still quite pliable. are they both the same? The metal gasket for the...

    Winterize

You asked "How do you prove your boat wasn’t winterized properly". Short answer is you can't. Ultimately it's up to you but if you paid for it and it didn't go well, lesson learned, I try to do my own maintenance for this very reason, if it goes south I only blame myself and I make a few...

    Winterize

93 model hmm. I have a 95 sbc and it overheated a couple of days ago. Might want to inspect the risers and manifolds. My riser looks like crap on the inside and if not enough water is moving through it you burn holes in the rubber boots on the exhaust and it will drip..

    Clanking/rattling sound after prop change

I only mention detonation because the 4 blade at the same pitch as your 3 blade would put additional load on your motor and make it more obvious but not cause it.

port side exhaust elbow over heating.

I've read some info that suggests that the riser fails more often than the manifolds which could mean that I may be able to replace the risers only. How could I tell if the manifold is still serviceable? and what's your take on the aluminum manifolds for a fresh water boat. I think the stainless...
