    Runs and blows fuses ? Crud in the pump vanes dragging. take bottom cover off to repair...........WARNING !!!! The pump may start running without warning. Also check the float switch for binding. REMOVE the fuse that runs the pump motor ! Pump will tear skin off fingers.

    My old Evinrudes Will go right past 18 volts as the battery nears full charge. If you have dead night lights " Your battery is WAY WAY overcharged. I have small digital dash mounted volt meters. I have a resistor in series to drop the volts down to 15 vdc when needed.

    If you are not in clean water ? Then a Closed System is MUCH BETTER. Salt water is NOT CLEAN water for the insides of a WOT running. The suspended salt minerals will stick like crazy. To hot spots all over the engine and exhaust system.
