    nitrogen inflation

    just a quick question, I was driving down the road the other day and saw a tire store that had a billboard out front claiming "nitrogen inflation". Does this mean they inflate the tires with nitrogen gas? If so, why, we have filled tires with air forever? I realize nitrogen is a very dry gas...

    U-joints on pre alpha

    removed spyder joints today and found them to be somewhat worn. the journals on both u-joints had impressions of the needle bearings worn into them on the torc side of them. gonna get some rockwell joints to replace unless you folks have a better idea... all help is welcomed///////

    excessive play in upper gear set

    Just brought my outdrive home for routine service(mercrusier pre alpha #1). There seems to be a little play in the upper gears, I can turn the input shaft about 1/8 of an inch before the down shaft starts to turn. is this excessive or normal. thanks in advance....
