    I'll study on the holders. Mine are rotted a couple inches up was just going chop that off if I reused. I'm thinking about making that area into storage somehow. I have rod holders on the topside and just run with that.

    oh and i can find the post to reply to but thought someone told me they replaced their steering with a seastar, looked today and that is what is on there and the cable looks pretty new - can actually read the words on the cable so i think I'm good there.

    switched to my shakey tool whis is much faster and can slide in underneath what does not pop out. I ordered extra long blades for towards the stern so I'm moving to the bow today. Alot seems to be popping out - there is kinda like a shell where it touches the aluminum.

    Yep, #10 copper. Smooth to not catch and no corrosion. I'm better than most with a fish tape as well.

    Looks worse than it is. Plan is to run two pvc tubes. One for the shift and steering cables, one for general wiring. Maybe a small one for the depth finder. That is of course a plan but if I move battery under the helm... either way I want tube's not that general mix of crap should i need...
