    The Oils are mixable, you will just end up with that is a Bit more Viscous when cold, and a little less when warm.

    If Volvo specs SAE 30 Synthetic, they have their Reason(s). However, is the 25/40 syn a Volvo or Mercury/Quicksilver Oil? If so, I wouldn't hesitate to use it

    I know Holley used to put a Plastic, easy to remove, Cover over the Idle Mix Screws on the Metering Block. As for One Side Dripping Fuel, as they share a Common Fuel Bowl, is the Carb/Boat/Trailer Level?

    There are Much Better Snake Oils than SeaFoam for cleaning the Rings, Merc's Engine Tuner, and BRP's Engine Cleaner, as two. CTC makes a decent one too. Oil should be a Good TCW-3 and mixed at 50:1. Any more is wasting Money, cause if a Bearing is running Smoothly with 50:1, more Oil isn't...

    Just setting the Engine further behind the Transom/Boat, is equal to lowering it. As for the Lower Holes in the Transom, they will be even lower when the Motor is mounted on a Bracket, as the Motor's weight is leveraged. Properly sealed they would not be a Problem in any configuration
