    Pontoon depending on who and what kind of fishing. 16' Aluminum Lund Mr Pike on other lakes or if I need the good electronics and trailing motors. The thing about a fish and ski boat they usually do not do either very well.

    A 20' pontoon with a 60 hp motor is not going to perform to the owners desired level for the activity he wants, pulling kids on tubes. Prop has nothing to do with it.

    The transom is rated for a 100 hp motor, this also tells you a little about the size and the weight of the boat. There is no prop you can put on a 60 hp motor that will make up 40 more hp. Go with the bigger motor.

    E-mail that number to Alumacraft they will tell you what year it is. D's are great solid boats great hull, at low speeds you can lay that boat over on it's side, don't worry it will not tip.

    Aluminum Transom vs Wood

    In my early 20's thought putting a 9.9 hp motor on a jon boat rated for a 5hp was an ok idea. It lasted for a couple weeks till the transom let lose in the corner. It all ended up on the bottom of the Mississippi.
