    What you consider Excessive Smoke might be perfectly Normal. Myself, I like and want that Smoke as it keeps the Skeeters away, and I love the Smell of Burnt 2 Stroke Oil. It is one of the Finest Scents ever created.

    You probably need to drop to an 18, maybe even a 17. Why do you want a 4 blade? What is the WOT Range for your Engine?

    That Roller, should have been under the Transom, not forward of it. Hooks can develop from that. Unless that boat has some kind of Sentimental Value, you will be money ahead to find another Boat, because it can become a Time and Money Pit of a Restoration

    All those batteries in the back are a good portion of the Weight Distribution Issue. Adding Ballast to level the boat is not the Answer, as it just adds weight, and slows you down and burns more fuel. Why 4 Batteries?

    The Cowl Decals were different between 75 and 76. Some parts can be swapped, but don't go thinking you can easily change an 18/20 into a 25. It can be done but Complete disassembly of the Powerhead is required

    It is, well the Cowl Decal, is 1976 The 20 is basically the same as an 18. 22 inch Block 20hp @4500 rpm WOT range 4000-5000 21:12 gearing.

    Properly done repairs(and most aren't) can happen on Glass Boats. Alumimium Boats, are easier to repair. They repair the Aluminium Skins on Airplanes all the time

    I used to think that, but the 64 5 1/2, and later 6hp still had Bushings for Crankshaft Bearings. OMC did spec 50:1 for them though
