    Pulling a boat motor.

I believe your bolts are fine...grade 8 doesn't give and I think you want that. The threads are the week point I'm guessing. I have so many outboards, I have to hang them just to walk around in my garage!

    Pulling a boat motor.

Comes with two sets of screws, and could easily be reproduced. Pretty sure the screws themselves would hold the motor.

    Pulling a boat motor.

You can wrap a strap around the whole motor... Did that a few times.

    Pulling a boat motor.

The OMC one I have threads on the end of the crank and has 3 bolts. Bolt aren't very long. Pretty sure the three bolts alone and some cobbled together plate would hold it but that is far as I can go.... guarantee wise. I have a 30 hanging by the bolts and a steering wheel puller now.

    Missing parts 1991 3hp

I think your confused. 30 is a roll pin. The spot or Barb next to it is part of the carb, Your missing 31 and possibly 32 and a rubber hose? Or yes you have a 90 and your good I guess. Not sure how it gets it pulse though. Look for a barb fitting not being used off the block. Racerone called...

    Missing parts 1991 3hp

31 must be the fuel line....part 30 is described as a roll pin and not used on some models.

    2012 E-tec 25

Okay, just got back to this....got the new rope guide piece back on and while better, it's still a beast to pull. Tried to get it to run but no joy yet. To back up, I had downloaded some E-tec stuff and I hit Crosby's stuff but when went to open his file or files it wouldn't open and said some...

1986 johnson 20hp tiller electrix start

Pretty dirty but the butterfly is perfect. Get the kit and rebuild it. Red lines indicate where you can tap the nut to get it off. The tapping will leave a mark and that will tell you how to put it back the same way. The linkage on the left side will just pull out of the plastic socket if you...

If the lower dropped a 1/4 to 3/8 inches than it's the shaft to powerhead problem. If it didn't drop at all than massive corrosion in the bolts which just requires heat. If the shop is experienced with these motors problem 2 will be easy.

Merc tank doesn't matter as long as it's a good clean tank. Gray fuel line separated on the inside causing havoc. Linc and sync is how the carb and timer plate work together. With the motor off, slip it in gear, turn it to full throttle and take a picture of inside the carb.

1986 johnson 20hp tiller electrix start

Good advice really, but I've loaned motors out and I've had my kids use them and they didn't always come back perfect. Simple procedure works quite often really. I find those carbs very easy to work on.

Another tip... and some do not agree on here, to remove the carb without removing the starter assembly, hit the port carburetor nut softly with a punch or screw driver to remove it. Saves quite a bit of time. Re- install the same way.

Here is three options. Don't remove carb but remove bowl drain, idle circuit screw and pump the primer ball. If the carb is good often time that will flush it. Remove carb and do a semi-clean, inspect and r&r the parts. Pull carb and do a complete rebuild. When doing option 1, you can poke a...

Could be the main jet....easy to get to. Main jet is about 1/2 to 3/4 past the carb bowl drain nut. I use torch head cleaner tips. Float bowl could be off or needle. Butterfly opening all the way?
