Full throttle in reverse little throttle forward

I could tell you the answer, but Racerone is correct. Your mistake is SO common that you need to learn about your motor. Best of luck.

    1986 6.5 hp

You'll have to wait for some of these old crusty guys to get out of bed to answer this one but I'm pretty sure there's an OMC commercial guide for that motor.

Someone knows fersure. Sneezing and idle screw does little

Hit the wrong reply and have no idea how I did it. Smart phones suck sometimes. "Low speed needle" touche. But a needle is an adjustable jet. Period. In my opinion, those motors can run on 100 to one with Amzoil or tcw 3 oil of any kind. i use Evinrude, mercury or Yamaha twc 3 oil at 75 to...

Linc and sinc is how you set up the carb before you even start it. LOTS of info on that. Getting it done correctly is the thing and then you tune in the low speed jet. So "yes" he's correct 1/4 to 1/2 inches past the two marks keeps mine from falling off.

You don't have much but your on the right track. Here's the answers because I'm tired. Linc and sinc....look that up. That's the two words that matter. Service bulletin. That does not fix a cough or sneeze, just a hesitation or the motor quits when you start out. Then it's carb tuning...

    Why would an outboard Mechanic?

I hear you. As to the heli-coil, you're not sure you even need it. So in regards to that, let me tell you what you're up against. First you want to get anything away from you you can't be in the way at least as far as outboard parts wise. Then you need to use some penetrating oil and everybody...

    Why would an outboard Mechanic?

Or just run it if it runs fine. Not sure how old or what size it is. Personally, I'd go confront the guy unless you got what you paid for....always a slippery slope.

Ooooo, poop. This one does not respect the force. Let yourself go....find the two words, then find the service bulletin about the two marks. Joy will come. I wonder if joy is "Hot" Is it a cough/sneeze? Or does it fall on its face for a second as you pull away? (That's a hint)

Flywheel and throttle cam plate moving together

Acid wash....trust me. 😆 Disclosure, Saltchuckmatt is not responsible for any caustic burns, dead plants, Superfund cleanup or any other liability for forum advice....also, any acid erections lasting over 4 hours immediately get to your wife or girlfriend!

Now paint it up and polish it good and hang it on the wall where it deserves to be. Don't you think it needs to be put out to stud? Put one of those little Asian girls next to it! By the way your brickwork needs a little muriatic acid. 😉

Replacement Model and serial number plate

This is what I found....maybe my terms are incorrect but I don't think so. Again, make your own sticker, do you have a laser printer?

Replacement Model and serial number plate

Personally, I think the easiest thing to do, actually Racerone's idea is probably the easiest thing to do, but grab another clamp arm from the same motor with the same model number and you'd be good to go. Just remember to disclose it to the buyer. Matt
