    2001 Mercury 60hp Bigfoot

I boat can handle up to a 90hp engine, the RPM at WOT i haven't figured out yet, have to replace a starter solenoid tonight when i get down there. From what i can guess at at WOT and motor trimmed out would be roughly between 5850 to 6000. hence why he said i needed a slightly bigger pitch prop...

Spoke to a Mercury Marine dealer yesterday, he didnt see any issues with having that motor on my boat, will be testing the WOT RPM to see if i need to go from a 15p prop to 17 or 19, the post above saying i need a 25p prop is way off base

    Hummingbird Depth Finder question

It fluctuates while the boat is tied to the dock. And has done this since I installed It. I’m gonna take the old depth finder down today and plug it in and see if it does it as well.

    Hummingbird Depth Finder question

My depth finder which is a year old, and has done this since the beginning. It shows the correct depth but…for example say the depth is 10 feet. It will read 10 ft but then jump to 2 ft then back to 10 and does it all the time. The older one never did and I am pretty sure I installed the new...

That’s for all the info. It’s actually a 2002 lol. I went to our local Mercury dealer/mechanic and told him my boat length and the motor he suggested a 13 x 15P prop. It’s the Mercury brand for the Bigfoot/command thrust motors. He said if my roms are to high or performance isn’t what I like...

    2001 Mercury 60hp Bigfoot

Ok slight correction, its a 2002 60HP bigfoot, nothing has been changed from its original purchase date. no new lower units or whatever. It fits on my boat beautifully and looks fantastic on the boat. My boat is a 18ft 6in Lowe Olympia 5 or 5 1/2 foot wide with a steering column. Also my boat is...
