    I will bet the Highest Temps alternate between the Port and Starboard sides of the intake. Engines often do that instead of Being uniform and even temps.

    Get a Temp reading gun and aim it at the Water passages on the Intake Manifold and see what the Temps are

    By outlet, are you referring to the two round Idle Reliefs about 5 inches below the Cowl?

    You can test the Pressure the Fuel Pump is putting out. It is not very high at the best of times. Most bog problems with these engines are Leanness.     I doubt the Idle Circuit can go rich enough to cover the loss of the Accelerator Pump, without other modifications being made.
