    Reverse Rotation Distributor gears

    As indicated above, GM RH rotation motors spin the cam, distributor and oil pump the same as the LH rotation motors. Only the crank spins backwards. Make sure your crank has the correct knurling for RH vs LH cranks.

    If you are not using a desiccant filter and water filter on the air line , you may be spraying the oil from the hose.

    Drive max RPM is 5500 unless you work on the drives oiling Run a rev limiter , because if you come out of the water (ie airborne), that 383 will grenade the drive when you re-enter the water (BTDT) Your cam determines your RPM and the cam you have is on the edge of reversion - check for it...
