350 Magnum Tournament Ski spark plugs

with 3 bad cylinders on the same bank, the exhaust manifold has been leaking and the exhaust ports are rusted. at a minimum, pull the exhaust and look. maybe time to pull the motor, get it on the stand and do a tear down.

    Stripped threads on carburetor

You will never get an NPT fitting to seal. I wouldn't chance a hokey repair. In a car, if you have a fuel leak, you just loose fuel. Possible chance of fire. In a boat, a fuel leak means you meet Jesus in a million burning pieces

Upgrading Merc A1-G1 Oil Pressure Light with an actual oil pressure gauge.

your oil pressure light uses an oil pressure switch. with no oil pressure, the switch is closed. when your oil pressure is above 7 psi, the switch opens. the switch provides ground to the light. the two wires coming out of the light do not matter with incandescent lights. one goes to the...

    Stripped threads on carburetor

seriously, If I was going to swap a carb on a 4.3, it would be for a 600 CFM 4-barrel to get a bit extra power.

    Stripped threads on carburetor

the issue is the split-top 500 CFM carb was used for only a very very very short time and was replaced with the much less expensive 2300 which shared so much with the 4150 there is one on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266999246488

    Stripped threads on carburetor

I would get a new carb. if it was a holley 4150/4160/2300 series, a new bowl would be all you need. no need to be more than one finger on the wrench to tighten an inverted flare fitting. that little screen in there does nothing. it has a rating of 150 micron. which means that large chunks...

What Brand of Brake pads are best quality? What do you guys use for quality?

do you care about stopping more or not causing brake dust as much. if you want maximum stopping power, you are looking at semi-metallic brake pads. down sides is they wear the rotor more and squeak if you want minimal dusting, ceramic pads. less braking force than semi-metallic, minimal...

    Engine Swap

you mean you banged on it with a hammer? wont sound hollow for a good decade after the wet rotten wood completely dissolves , then dries out or is eaten by insects in order to leave a void. assume any boat hull over 15 years old to have issues until proven otherwise.
