    Well , getting the water line taped off only means one thing . Barrier coats begin ! Just finished the first coat . It will get probably 5 before the bottom paint goes on ..

    A little update . Had to leave town for about a week seeing my grandson and family up north . But squeezing in a little time here and there . I’m hoping to start the bottom paint within the next week or so . Using 3m premium marine filler for the screw holes . Gotta work fast and small batches...

    I run this one every now and then. Pretty simple . Carb , hand primer , coil , condenser, points , timing lever and a rope ! Lol !

    Ok KC, so the transom had the grooves cut into the planks . Took me a few minutes to figure out how to re-create them . Opted for an 1/8” router bit and my elcheapo plastic router table . I think I achieved the look ok ..

    So both port and starboard planks installed except for the last plank at the gunnel top or cover plank . Working on the transom battons and planks now ..I’m leaving the top planks off till after we flip back over . I don’t want to cut those planks in if I’m going to replace the the top cover...

    Stoke level is high in the garage along with the temps . Got the first side plank permanently installed . Picked up a nice Fuller countersink and plug cutter combo for it .

    Also had our Bi-annual Suwannee River AOMCI get together this weekend . River was at flood levels and a ton of crap floating down stream . That made the boating a little sketchy but we made the best of it . Only one sheared pin out of the lot of us luckily..

    Small update .. Just nipping away at it . Had the boat show in Tavares a few weeks back . Somehow Miss Lily managed to bring this home . 🙂 That makes 2 from the Dora show . Don’t know how that happened but it’s pretty cool ! Meanwhile been fabricating the side planks and temporarily fastening...

    All the CC I have seen in those years was the red bilge paint . The earlier boats I believe was a grey paint . Sandusky mahogany bilge paint is what most use .
