    Mid 70 18ft ss I/O rebuild

On the IOs the circuit goes from keyed power at the ignition switch which is normally on the dash, through the kill switch to the 12v power on the coil. The circuit is closed to give power to the coil and when pulled it opens the circuit cutting the power off.

That's a good question, for MT epoxy to adhere properly, I personally would not use the 303 on substantial pitting that needs to have MT. What I would do is fill the deeper pitting with MT and then coat everything else with the 303. Corrosion should not continue under the MT as there is no...

I use fir ACX for my transoms with Titebond III, nothing wrong with it at all. That pitting isn't too bad, just needs cleaned up to stop it from progressing.

1989 Starcraft Islander 221V repair and repower

Fuel tanks are all about their size, not much room below deck. Be sure you can make it fit in the space you have adding in for clearances and padding.

1975 Starcraft SS 16' Freshen Up

Those bunks have some meat on the bones. (y) Yeah keel rollers will take some load but not a whole lot. Your 16'r with a light motor is not even close to being too heavy and needing more support than what you have.

1989 Starcraft Islander 221V repair and repower

Most of us swear by the rigid foam board for flotation since it is not installed with direct adhered contact with the hull like pour in foam that traps the water. Salt water and fresh water both will cause corrosion to the hull with the pour in foam. Yes rinsing salt water from AL boats is...

    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

I left out a few steps I took using Coat-It for the seams and especially the keel. I taped it off before application and found I prefer the Coat-It now over Gluvit. The bench seat supports were removed and new solid rivets were hammered in with 5200 sealing the deal. I also replaced some...

    1974 Starcraft SS16 Restortation

That was well worth the money to have that rusted steel sandblasted, came out looking super nice! For a 16' SS I think the bunk width would be fine, you just have to hit the sweet spot between the bottom strakes with the bunks. I've not seen any bunk brackets that work on lateral frames but a...

    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

Thanks, I like how it turned out and it was nice to see I didn't loose my touch at painting. I didn't have enough poly beads on hand so I used some fine texture sand this time.

    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

An update. Got the Seafarer all painted up with the standard formula I use of VanSickle SE primer, industrial enamel with catalyst hardener. The bottom is bare and the inside bottom is same paint, hardener and non skid on first coat and just paint on the second coat to smooth it out some...
