    I dont have one but I suspect it is the same for the newer 3.0s if you can get that spec. In absence of a spec I would tighten it from the inside out to the ends to 35 ft lbs and retorque after it gets hot. On my SBC I think the spec was 35 +/- 5 or so ft lbs. I believe they are grade 5 bolts...

    did you verify the timing has indeed moved with a timing light? easy to check and also check if it is advancing with rpms like it should

    Doesn't matter what ever you have, Its just a built up block of wood in the end. Don't overthink it the boat and driveline is less precisely built than one would think.

    It is for the dipstick tube but you may also have a dipstick that attaches to the oil pan, or at least the 4.3 I had with a cast pan did. In which case you can seal this off with a plug and rtv

    sounds like the carb bowl is overflowing. That would be the result of a non functional needle and seat/ float or too high of a fuel pressure

    Yes or 3m makes weatherstrip adhesive there are a couple substitutes and if i recall correctly bellows adhesive is not a unique formulation . use power tune to get the retaining ring to slide in on bellhousing end

    When u pump the throttle to set the choke look down carb to see if any fuel is coming out of accelerator pump And if choke sets properl. If it has sat long enough carb can dry out and there is no fuel in carb until the engine turns over a bit. is your ignition system in good state of tune ?
