    Is Vessel View worth it?

disconnect engine temp alarm switch, oil pressure alarm switch, and drive lube bottle switch test to see if it goes away. If it does reconnect one by one to see which switch is tripping it

Problem Restarting, Idling and Acceleration when the engine is warm. Merc 140hp 3.0 Alpha 1 Gen 1.

probably a rabbit hole. Figure out why your hot restart issue is occurring - no spark, no fuel or too much fuel. Do you get black exhaust momentarily when it does restart?

    Wideband O2 sensor install

that's barely a bar tab in this sport.... You can use grade 5 as thats is what barr supplied me with their manifolds and elbows if you are fat at idle and mix screws do nothing would suspect your bowl level is too high or one of the floats/needle and seat is getting overcome. I wouldn't expect...

Ol' Girl will not start now a'pre-sinking !?!😩('92 merc 5.7 alpha 1 gen 1 4bbl Quadrajet)!?! HELP!!!

You can always easily dump a little gas down the carb to quickly confirm it is lack of gas. If there is decent spark it will run a little bit with some gas dumped down the carb.

Problem Restarting, Idling and Acceleration when the engine is warm. Merc 140hp 3.0 Alpha 1 Gen 1.

Yeah most likely the fuel in bowl is dribbling into manifold after shutdown and flooding it. If the choke closes and gets set this only makes it worse. You need to open the throttle wide to clear the overly rich condition. two safety related comments- is the fuel pump marine rated? Marine...

    Gimble Bearing

Most likely previous bearing was worn out and someone kept running it until it spun damaging the aluminum housing. Or the replacement bearing is of lower quality and the tolerance ring is not the right dimension Might be worth trying a different supplier bearing

Inner cable for Mercruiser 4.3L shift cable will not go all the way in

You likely routed the shift cable wrong around the flywheel cover and wye pipe. Or at least that is what happened when I did my bellows and shift cable last year... if you look in manual 14 it shows the routing... Are these OEM cables or aftermarket

    Lowering the bunks . . .

You can tell very easily if they are working by looking at the rotors. They will have a layer of corrosion. If you come back from the launch with the boat and the rotors still have corrosion they are not working. I have had the rubber hoses on my 2004 trailer that I put all new surge brakes on...

Burning ~3 quarts of oil between changes

I don't think heavier oil will help much but usually use oil pressure to determine if you can go heavier weight. You can put a mechanical gauge on and judge if you can tolerate heavier oil or not. when too heavy an oil is used for the bearing clearances that's when oil pump drives get damages...

1988 Four winns 180 horizon, were these OMC or Mercruisers

Your biggest concern should be stringer and transom rot. Would also look out if some one put a new deck over an older rotten deck. Nothing wrong if some one did a proper repair to deck, stringers or transom, just see a lot of half azzed stuff. even if they didnt swap the drivetrain would...

Intermittent electrical none start no Accessories power, power returns by its self

Yes main circuit breaker would cut off power to key switch , but it would click if it was reset after tripping. easy to measure if you have power coming out of it . most likely would start with your positive and negative battery cables check both ends are clean and tight
