    Welcome to iboats. Throwing money at a pile of parts can get real expensive, and not solve the problem. Might as well buy a new motor. What makes you think it is a spark issue? Have you tested spark when it will not start? Have you checked all wiring? Ground wires, ignition components, etc...

    Ok. I would start by making sure battery connections are all clean and tight. And make sure the battery is fully charged. Or use another known to be good battery.

    If you fill with foam, and it someday does get waterlogged, you will never be able to get all the water out, or the waterlogged foam.

    You are going to need to purchase a repair manual. Factory is best, possibly on ebay. Have you got an impeller for the pump? Found out they are $110 when I sourced one for a co-worker back in March.

    Thats called a trailering bracket. But please don't rest the motor on it when trailering, they often fail. Mercury part number 819504A2 BRACKET KIT-TRAILERING $174.95 Yes, that is $175 , available from any mercury dealer. But try ebay for a used one.

    OK, that makes more sense. aneurism - not good lets just call it a blonde moment. Definitely get some oil in the cylinders, and some in the gas, until you can verify the oil level going down in the tank. Happy boating.

    You could replace with bunks, or buy a new trailer. ? Running 2x6 bunks between the crossmenbers would be cost effective and add lots of support.
