    Fuel Tank Cleaning

I agree with the other guys, i'd get it pressure tested before doing anything. If you need to replace it I would'nt worry about the new tank corroding, most likely you'll be long gone before that happens beside you can also get a custom made plastic tank. Was the tank foamed in?

    Old Coast Guard Horn

It is absolutely positively a resistor. It's most likely good, the only way to properly test it is with one lead disconnected from the circuit. I wouldn't mess with the resistor it's more important to determine what voltage the horn operates on.

    Old Coast Guard Horn

Good question. How big is the horn, can you tell if it was mounted on a building or a boat? I was assuming it was mounted on a boat therefore it was a 12v system.

    Old Coast Guard Horn

That's a 50 ohm 25watt resistor gm280 is referring to. Looks like there's just the resistor and a relay. Did you connect it to 12v to see what happens? If you do just tap the wires to the power source real fast just in case it's reversed polarized. If it doesn't work reverse the wires and try again.

What condition was the primer bulb in when the motor started to bog down? Run the motor again and when it starts to bog down pump the bulb and see what happens. If there are any fuel filters have you checked them?

The cables getting hot mean there is high resistance which means bad cables or connections.

Yamaha f40 water pump not pumping. Already replaced water pump impeller kit.

is there water coming out from the pisser? If not you have water pump issues. If the motor is pissing have you checked the thermostats? What was the situation before you replaced the pump?

    Battery set-up

If I'm living in the 80's you're living in denial. Here are a few pictures of one of my many deep cycle batteries that I'm using in one of my solar power systems at home. It's the easiest battery to get to but believe me I have many more and they are no older than 3 years old. I'm not trying to...

    Brake Pad Question

I just did a complete brake job on my trailer my truck is next. I currently have ceramic pads and was thinking on installing semi metallic pads at least in the front for a little more stopping power. I'm curious on how much "extra" braking power I should expect to get with the semi metallic...
