    Boat ramp courtesy

Late bloomer ha….lol Wasn’t into drinking……starting “partying” at 13. Know what you mean about Farsi all hair….had hair at my shoulders and a full beard by 16. Used to go downtown to see the “working ladies”. Stop in one of the Gentlemen’s clubs “for a beer” if the barkers would let you in

    Boat ramp courtesy

Not true…. I bought my first car at 14, but I could not drive until I got my license at 16. You can not operate a boat in most States unless you pass a boating test

    Boat ramp courtesy

The problem you run into is that ramps can and do have very different etiquettes at different times and places. Ramp etiquette is very different when I launch at my usual 5:00 and 5:15 am compared to the 10:30 am Saturday morning crowd.

    2003 ox66 200 intermittent shut down

Motor is known for having a finicky fuel delivery / filtration system. Special attention must be given to all the filters and pumps in the system. Having said that, have you checked to make sure you have spark on all cylinders when the shutdown occurs? There are a number of electrical...

Deep cycle battries and standard car battries

The self discharge rate of a healthy lead acid battery is quite low. A healthy, fully charged battery should go 3-9 months between charges, depending on the temperature, for a battery to drop to 70% capacity before needing topped off again. The two biggest killers of batteries are exceeding...

    Electricsl problem

Not a good link You can’t power a 120VAC device with 12VDC Are you sure the light bar isn’t rated at 120W (watts)? Watts / actual voltage= amps Guessing your “Amazon” switch is wired incorrectly of shorting to ground internally

Deep cycle battries and standard car battries

You are correct….CCA is calculated at 0* F. MCA is calculated at 32* F. MCA rating is 133% of CCA rating. In theory…. “Actual Cranking Amps” at 70F would be 166% of CCA Here is a list of OEM recommended battery sizes. https://www.dekabatteries.com/assets/base/0406MarineApplicationslayout.pdf...

Deep cycle battries and standard car battries

Not a fan of starting batteries in marine applications. Deep cycle are just so much more robust than starting batteries Run twin grp. 27 deep cycle batteries. Provides 1,500 cranking amps (750 ca, ea.) and 176 Amp Hours. Have averaged 10 years of life over the last two sets of batteries?

Adding dedicated battery for depth finder

Not if dedicated for use with the depth finder. Wire DF direct to battery. Just so you know….Lithium ion batteries are known to catch fire via different causes. A boat is the last place I want a run-away, self sustaining fire…...
