    Where to run anchor line?

my anchor rides on the front, short deck section of my pontoon boat when underway, attached to a retractable cleat I just added. Previously attached to a built in "cleat" on the top of the pontoon nose. Chain then rope, as suggested above. When towing, the anchor rides just inside the fence...

    Ski bar recommendations

I use a turboswing ski bar....not cheap... I understand there is an inexpensive, "y" rope device that attaches to those pontoon points....Overton sells them, I think..? .... I used those points on my toons using a single rope for each for some years but as the grandkids got bigger, The flexing...

    just goes to show ya..

duh....really!...do I need to pull up standard rpm/torque/hp charts that I've known about for decades?...or what.... neither does my 115 merc make max hp at 4500.... was't the point of my post...and didn't ask about hp... It was about max throttle numbers.....

Merc 40 Force - Takes forever to start

didn't say it operated a choke valve..show me where I said that.... I SAID it was called a choke solenoid that CLICKS and that's what the op should listen for.... It's also called an enrichment valve..... one in the same........hope you can see the pics.....

Merc 40 Force - Takes forever to start

No... It uses a solenoid to operate the enrichment valve that serves the same purpose as a choke....some call it a choke solenoid.... just like I said.... thats what he needs to check...not the enrichment valve.... and it makes a noticeable click......which is what he needs to hear.....when he...

    2011 Bennington 24 ft. Pontoon

has it always done this? how long have you owned it. is the motor in good condition? just when you are aboard? ...water in toons?...as mentioned... helps to answer these questions... diameter, pitch, # of blades, cupped prop or not., load in boat...all affect max throttle rpm..

Evinrude 60hp - 3 Blade vs 4 Blade Prop Pitch

a 60 hp motor on a 16' boat needs a different prop than the same motor on a 24' boat...I know for a fact. A prop ad that says it will fit a motor doesn't mean that's the prop you need for that motor on your boat. But that's the message I got from you posting that ad...... I believe you know your...

Evinrude 60hp - 3 Blade vs 4 Blade Prop Pitch

"I decided to buy a new stainless prop and went from the original 3 blade aluminum to a 4 blade." # of blades, diameter of prop, pitch of prop, cupped prop or not, all affect rpm. Not just # of blades.

    New prop for my boat

jeez... most assuredly it can..........I hope you don't find more "stuff".... I haven't had to pressure test my toons....so far all I have to do is loosen the plugs especially on a hot day and listen for expanded air to escape.....or the opposite on a colder day.....I did have a seam leak...
