    I had a Silverline, but it was a '72. Garboard drain plug was a 1", and the T-handle type worked LOTS better than the snap-handle. Welcome aboard.

    I think you're in an electric shift Stringer. But I can't tell for sure from the photos. The model number I suggested to look for will tell you for certain what it is, but be aware that those drives got "frankesteined" quite a bit over the years to keep 'em going.     Go to your engine. Back on one of the mounts (probably) you should find another tag. That tag will have a model number on it that should read something like "990232E 1977." I think the number you have listed is the part number for the upper gear case housing. Kenny will know better, but I think...

    Chart Plotter Transducer Mount

    Depending on the shape of your logs, do an internet search for "stern saver." It's a little hunk of star board that glues to the hull, and you can mount to that. If you've got a flat enough spot on the 'toon, or a way to shape some star board to fit. Might be able to buy one or make one.

    Not allowed on the forums. What year(s) OMC? Going from a four cylinder to a six cylinder I would think you need to swap everything; engine, outdrive and all.

    ^^^ Smaller outboard boats may not have a bilge blower, but should still have venting for the gas tank.
