    Welcome Running on 2 cyl then later run on 4, this would be in the distributor and wires most likely. Get a spark gap tester and install one at a time on each plug to see what it looks like

    Check the connection where the outdrive connects to the hose leading to the raw water pump. They get clogged up

    You could but motor was designed with the valve. Changing things is usually not a good idea. Also a properly operating motor will have some blowby, just very little. The pcv helps evacuate these gasses

    Going into neutral is when the interrupter is used. The Alpha drive cannot be put into neutral when boat is in the water without it. If the switch hangs it will kill the motor

    wheel bearings for Cox trailer

    Maybe someone can find the specs, but if the plan is to put new bearings in, I would suggest repack the ones in it now. If you can spin the wheel and it's smooth the bearings are good. Bring along a tub of grease and repack them Most likely with a 1200 lb trailer I would guess 1 inch axle...
