    as long as both motors are 1986 or later however depending on the year, the Volvo Penta may have the 168 toothed flywheel as well.

    no problem at all. if you know what you are doing. you would need to make sure the VP bell housing has room for the larger 168 tooth flywheel. the exhaust will need to stay VP (merc manifolds will not line up with VP stuff)

    Your plywood should match the transom shape and go corner to corner. You need it flat (no bevel) If you want to reuse the glass, you have to bevel both of the edges of the cut back. It's less work to just bevel the boat side and lay the fiberglass on the wood
