    I sure hope it is CLOSED CELL FOAM rated for use with oil and gasoline. It is used in floating docks. Open cell will soak up all the water that touches it.

    I enlarged the gear photo a lot. There is a complete crack thru the gear at the very bottom of it. Looks like you will find out if anything is adjustable.

    I always empty gas thru the engine if possible Is there a constant smell of leaked out gasoline ? The picture is odd with those black streaks and white crumbs. Are the white crumbs corrosion dots ? Have you tried to move the black or crumbs ? I would get a gastank cleaning place to look inside...

    22' must have CUBIC INCHES to not need different prop changes. Sadly most new boat buyers are tod to buy the smallest motor. Better chance of selling the boat on price. Screwed again. If you buy used at a low bargain price.

    A badly designed hull is a fish jumping around. PERIOD Other possibility is really bad placement of gear stored in the boat. Or the famous oversized motor or motors.
