    Check safety switch in control box.-----Annd possibly one on the motor ( white wire.----Only one white wire goes to the safety switch on the motor.

    Did overheat horn sound ?----Agreed , see if flywheel will turn by hand.----Drain gear oil and check for metal bits.

    The 35 amp was the factory update.----The 9 amp rectifier will also work.

    If the motor was submerged you need to get it running ASAP.-----Some manuals suggest 6 HRS !!----Manuals also suggest submerging it again until you arrange help to get it running.

    The motor in question does not have power trim.----Should be towed with motor down.

    It just sounds great out of the water.----They all sound great.----Post compression numbers .---Check for spark.

    Agreed----If there is 8" road clearance you tow with motor down.----Easiest on the transom and motor brackets.----Tow with motor in gear.
