    Yamaha 115 v4 compression

    Guy long story short, managed to in seize the yam yesterday but the old thumb test and turning by hand suggests that one cylinder is almost non existent on compression. Could this all be down to a sticking ring ? I’m thinking it’s unlikely. The head is coming off that bank today for a look.

    Never ending thirst for more speed

    Is there such a thing as a low profile gear case with low water pick up for the alpha one ? I might be getting a trade in deal for a 6.2 and would like to stick with the alpha. She already runs a bit hot with the current engine flat out. Just because of the lift she has out the water.
