    Winterization

You drained all the water from the plugs and probed all the plug ports with a pick? You changed oil? You pulled the drive and checked alignment? U-joints? Bellows? Gimbal? You replaced the impeller if it's been 5 years? If so you are winterized As the manual stated, did you add the optional...

Question please on angler boat i bought

Post pics of the deck. If you have removable deck panels, you may not have to cut up things to get to the livewell plumbing Many times boat builders rig and plumb the deck before bonding it to the hull Sometimes they rig after they cap the hull Can you see the livewell drains and supply...

Not much different between the DPA1 thru the DPE1. Slight changes in the H frame Post pics of the drive. You may only need a lower and upper. Which you can find a lot easier than a complete drive

    1990 Mercruiser 4.3 Same As???

If you have to dive into the internals on the 4.3, you don't just replace a single piston The block needs to be bored and honed and you replace all the pistons With that stated, look for a complete low mileage 4.3 from a truck. Strip the motor down to a short block and heads. Knock out the...

    Need RPM’s on 383MPI 1970 SeaRay 24’ project

I agree with Scott, check plug color and get the motor tuned before worrying about props. if your dyno guy has a kenne bell boost-a-pump DC/DC converter, you can feed the fuel pumps with 16-17 volts and get a few more PSI out of them to see if that helps until you get a tune.

    Need RPM’s on 383MPI 1970 SeaRay 24’ project

do you have a boat weight? not what the specs say it weighted in 1970, what the actual scale weight is? is your tach accurate? what ECM did you have on the dyno?

Thinking about an upgrade for the tow vehicle

actual operation of the vessel is always the cheap part. even filling a 300 gallon tank at a fuel dock..... its the back-side costs of boating that are high..... maintenance, upkeep, insurance, support vehicles....
